Day 18 - Travel to Tahiti

This morning we woke up all excited to fly to Tahiti!  New Zealand was such an awesome time, but we were also very excited to get back to the tropics!  Mindy was excited to see what French Polynesia was all about.  I was excited to re-live a trip I had done 9 years earlier with my ski-buddy Tommy Perkins.

We landed in Papeete, Tahiti around 9PM.  Totally open-air airport!  

In typical island fashion, there were two polynesian men playing tiny guitars when we got there singing local songs.  Additionally, Mindy got a flower in her hair!

After getting through customs, taking a cab to Le Meridien (about 20 mins away) and checking in, we ran down to the bar to grab a drink and a bite to eat.  Mindy opted for something fruity!

While I got to have my first Hinano beer in 9 years!  Good times Hinano!
